Whistleblowers are people, often employees, who reveal information about activity within private or public organizations or institutions that they feel is illegal, immoral, illicit, unsafe, fraudulent, or otherwise harmful. Current laws and policies to protect whistleblowers in Canada are weak, if not entirely ineffective.

The Centre for Free Expression offers a free confidential helpline for whistleblowers and potential whistleblowers – those raising concerns about harm to the public interest, or considering doing so. Ian Bron named a CFE Senior Fellow

The Centre for Free Expression has named whistleblowing expert Ian Bron as its newest senior fellow.  “A long-time advocate for more robust whistleblower protection and a former Canadian whistleblower, Mr. Bron brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the work of the CFE,” said James L. Turk, the Centre’s Director.
