Penni Stewart is President of the Board of the Harry Crowe Foundation, a foundation established to carry out education and research on the contemporary role of post-secondary education. Previously she served as President of the Canadian Association of University Teachers (CAUT) 2008-2011. She is a Professor Emerita, York University (Sociology) with interests in academic freedom and freedom of expression.
