Event Details
A new model for investigative reporting is emerging in Canada with a unique mandate: replace journalistic competition with collaboration. Amid unprecedented cuts to investigative resources, some Canadian newsrooms are doing their most ambitious work ever in partnerships with other media organizations and journalism schools. It has led to the country's first ever investigative institute focused on bringing journalists, journalism students and faculty from different institutions together in the service of public interest reporting.
Two Canadian leaders in the re-invention of the investigative journalism model discuss how it came to be, how it works and where it is going.
