Daniel Lelchuk
Cellist Daniel Lelchuk has concertized the world over in chamber music, solo, and orchestral settings. The musician, who The Washington Post describes as “a dazzling virtuoso,” has served as first cellist of the Castleton Festival under Maestro Lorin Maazel and has performed at many festivals including those of Aspen, Baden-Baden, Hawaii, the Lakes Area, and Salzburg. He serves as Associate Principal cellist of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra.
Since June 2020 he has hosted the podcast Talking Beats with Daniel Lelchuk, where he engages extraordinary thinkers, writers, musicians, scientists, and entertainers in captivating and spirited dialogue. The show, which according to Walter Isaacson “celebrates the joy of music and great conversations,” regularly features in-depth portraits of leading figures such as Moshe Safdie, Linda Ronstadt, Amy Tan, Ambassador Dennis Ross, Wynonna Judd, Harry Shearer, Laurence Tribe, Eddie Glaude, Michael Ian Black, and Malcolm Nance.
