Louis-Philippe Lampron joins the Centre for Free Expression as a Senior Fellow
Louis-Philippe Lampron, Professor of Law at l'Université Laval, is joining Toronto Metropolitan University’s Centre for Free Expression (CFE) as a Senior Fellow.
“Professor Lampron’s research focuses broadly on the protection of human rights in Canada and in international law,” said James L. Turk, CFE’s Director. “His recent work on the implementation of fundamental freedoms and equality rights is particularly important. We are delighted he will be joining CFE and helping guide and expand our work on human rights.”
Professor Lampron is a regular researcher at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research on Diversity and Democracy (CRIDAQ) at l'Université du Québec à Montréal, and co-spokesperson of the Research Group on Human Rights of the Faculty of Law at l'Université Laval (GEDEL).
In addition to numerous articles, he has written Maudites Chartes : 10 ans d'assauts contre la démocratie des droits et libertés (Cursed Charters : 10 years of assault on democracy of rights and freedoms) and La hiérarchie des droits - convictions religieuses et droits fondamentaux au Canada (The Hierarchy of Rights. Religious and fundamental rights in Canada).
