Sandy Welbergen is a teacher-librarian at Pembina Trails Collegiate and Co-President of the Manitoba School Library Association. She advocates for equitable access to well-funded school libraries, defends intellectual freedom, and collaborates with education partners to deliver professional development for library staff across the province. She serves on the National Executive Council of Canadian Geographic Education and has contributed to national educational resources, including the Jumpstart Kids Activity Kit: Outdoor Adventure. Sandy helps students navigate complex information landscapes and supports interdisciplinary instruction by integrating literature and place-based learning principles.
