Michele serves on Finance Canada’s Advisory Committee on Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing public-private sector working groups including with respect to legislation and regulation, FINTRAC outreach and guidance and the National Risk Assessment. Internationally, she participates in International Federation of Accountants and Global Accounting Alliance initiatives.

Before joining CPA Canada, Michele was the CEO and Executive Director of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nova Scotia from 2005 to 2015 and prior to that role, she was in public practice for over 20 years.

She is a past Chair of the Board of Governors of Saint Mary’s University and a past Chair of Sacred Heart School of Halifax.
