Lita Barrie
Lita Barrie is a dynamic and forward-looking leader in Canada’s public library sector. She has served as CEO of Burlington Public Library for the past eight years, strengthening organizational performance, enhancing community connections, and advancing innovative initiatives that expand the impact and relevance of public libraries.
She holds a Master of Library and Information Studies from McGill University and is committed to continuous learning and professional advancement. She plays an active leadership role at both provincial and national levels, currently serving as Chair of the Canadian Federation of Library Associations / Fédération canadienne des associations de bibliothèques (CFLA-FCAB), President of the Ontario Library Association, and Program Coordinator for the Canadian Urban Libraries Council Public Library Leaders Program.
