
Linda St. Pierre
Linda is a sessional instructor at Laurentian University who teaches courses in neuroscience and in labour studies. She has been teaching at Laurentian since 1999. She serves LUFA as both the Executive Director and as the chief grievance officer and has been elected 7 times in that position since 2009. She is the recipient of two awards. In 2017, OCUFA named her the recipient of the Lorimer Award for her contributions to improving the terms and conditions of employment for Ontario university faculty and academic librarians. In 2019, CAUT named her recipient of the Bernice Schrank Award for outstanding accomplishments in the enforcement of collective agreement provisions through grievance and arbitration. She played a key role in several major academic freedom cases, including that of Michael Persinger.
