Joseph Fish
Graduate Student
Ryerson University’s School of Journalism
Joseph Fish came into the Masters of Journalism program after graduating from Dalhousie University with a Bachelors of Science degree with honours in Neuroscience, and working for a year in a research lab specializing in stem cell research. He shifted his focus away from science and towards journalism due to a love for the written word, and a longstanding passion for storytelling. His interests include the Canadian government’s response to the worsening opioid crisis, and the ability of law enforcement to keep communities safe. Joseph has written as a freelancer for The Canadian Jewish News, and writes and records news briefings for The Star Spot astronomy podcast.
