Clea Schmidt

Clea Schmidt is Professor of Education at the University of Manitoba, where she co-chairs the Second Language Education area group. She researches issues of diversifying the teaching force and the international mobility of educators and students from equity-seeking groups.  She serves on the Executive of the University of Manitoba Faculty Association as a grievance officer.  Her interests include critically examining the intersection of academic freedom and university initiatives and policies such as respectful workplace; trigger warnings; and equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI).
