Kwame Fraser Joins CFE Board

Kwame Fraser, president and publisher of Dundurn Press, one of the largest Canadian-owned book publishing companies, is joining the Centre for Free Expression’s (CFE) Advisory Board.

“With the increasingly serious challenges to books in school and public libraries and threats to intellectual freedom across the country, Kwame Fraser brings his experience and insights as publisher to help the CFE in its work to support libraries, writers, and publishers through these difficult times,” said James L. Turk, Director of CFE.

Fraser has lectured at the Humber College Creative Book Publishing Program as well as at the University of the West Indies in the Creative Writing, English Literature, and Publishing Program.

The Centre for Free Expression at Toronto Metropolitan University is a hub for public education, research and advocacy on free expression and the public’s right to know. Its work is undertaken in collaboration with academic and community-based organizations across Canada and internationally.
