Babs Kelly joins CFE Working Group on Intellectual Freedom
Babs Kelly, Director of Learning and Development at the British Columbia Library Trustees Association, is joining the Centre for Free Expression’s Working Group on Intellectual Freedom.
“Ms. Kelly has an impressive record of work on intellectual freedom and broader issues of governance and community engagement,” said James L. Turk, Director of the Centre. “A fine example of her work is the excellent "Discussion Starter on Intellectual Freedom" she developed for the BCLTA.”
Prior to joining BCLTA, Ms. Kelly worked in government library services and public libraries in Ontario, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia. She holds a Master of Library and Information Studies and a Master of Business Administration. She is also a certified dialogue and workshop facilitator.
Ms. Kelly lives and works in Prince George on the traditional and unceded territory of the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation.

The Centre for Free Expression at Ryerson University is a hub for public education, research and advocacy on free expression and the public’s right to know. Its work is undertaken in collaboration with academic and community-based organizations across Canada and internationally.
