Ummni Khan
Dr. Ummni Khan is a professor, writer, and scholar of law, sexuality, and feminism at Carleton University. She earned degrees in both law and literature, including a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School, an M.A. in English from York University, and a doctorate in law from the University of Toronto.
She is the author of Vicarious Kinks: SM in the Socio-Legal Imaginary, and her work has appeared in venues ranging from Porn Studies to the University of Toronto Law Journal. Her scholarship has been cited hundreds of times, including by the Supreme Court of Canada. Her commentary has appeared in outlets such as CBC News, France TV, and Cosmopolitan, and she has published personal essays in CBC First Person and the New York Times Tiny Love Stories.
Her current project, Office Hours (ECW Press, 2027), is an enemies-to-lovers romance that explores desire, consent, and feminism.
